Leadership Coach, renowned Yoga and Meditation Teacher, and unshakable optimist dedicated to helping you lower stress and anxiety so that you can become the woman you most want to be.
As a busy mamma, entrepreneur, writer, and speaker, I know all too intimately the challenges my clients face, because these challenges are my own.
I get it. You are overwhelmed and it’s all too much.
You are just so damn busy putting out fires that you feel like you are treading water, and at the end of the day there is nothing left for you.
Add to this the shitty anxiety that is holding you back from everything that you truly desire and want to be.
You are a smart woman. You’re a natural goal getter and high achiever who’s not afraid to work hard. You also overthink everything which slows you down…if not totally holds you back from what you most want.
I know you can feel more confident, relaxed, and in control.
I used to feel the pain of never feeling like I was enough, or that there was enough of me to go around for my family, work, and of course: me.
In the decade I’ve been coaching women, I know that we are all facing the same challenges: We have too many demands and not enough time.
As women we are way too busy, spread too thin being all things to everybody, and (no surprise here) many of us are struggling with anxiety because of it.
I help ambitious women overcome anxiety so they can become the women they most want to be.
I spent years taking courses, applying yoga teachings, learning about Buddhist psychology, coaching, neuroscience, and Positive Psychology to find something that works.
And I did.
I’ve sifted through the noise to find practical solutions that really work so you don’t have to.
You should know that I’m not your average coach for many reasons, but the biggest reason is that I’m also a yogi. I practice what I teach, so I know this shit works.
My special sauce is combining the practical techniques of coaching with eastern psychology and practices. And the result? Long term change through shifts in how you think and how you behave in the world…and that is what changes your life.
I need to let you in a secret: I used to be a chronic workaholic.
As a young woman I was always either working two jobs, or working full time and going to school full time. Then, when I started my own business, it translated into me working more hours and cramming more and more onto my To-Do list.
I took clients any day or night, taught yoga six to seven days a week, and tried to squeeze in a wee bit of time for myself (which was usually just enough time to keep me from losing my shit completely!).
Unsurprisingly, I burnt out.
The very things I loved started to feel like a burden to me, and my passion, MY PASSION, was sucking the life out of me. I loved what I did for work, but it exhausted me. I was losing my focus, my drive, and my joy.
Not to mention I ALWAYS felt guilty. If I was working I felt guilty that I wasn’t spending enough time in my relationships, including myself (I’m a yoga teacher dammit, I should know better!).
And when I was with the people I love, or doing something for me, I was distracted and felt guilty for not working.
My big shift happened when I was feeling helplessly overwhelmed in the beautiful mess I created. I was working my ass off to keep up with my life, and as I neared exhaustion, I knew it was no longer sustainable.
It was then, that I started doing the work that I now offer to you.
I created a more holistic system of goal setting. I got crystal clear on how I wanted to live my life. I aligned my life around what is most important to me, and created strong boundaries to support them.
Now, I have designed my life around what I love, and it includes both work and play. I am anxiety free, joyful, and present for everything I love…and that includes my work too!
I have a schedule that works FOR me that includes ample time for friends, family, and myself.
I should warn you though, that I may not be for you if you are easily offended by the occasional f-bomb or curse word. I’m a straight shooter, and sometimes I get a little excited with my lingo. But I’m guessing that if you’ve been reading my blog posts, you’ve already figured this part out.
I’m also a Positive Psychology and neuroscience junkie.
I am obsessed with how to rewire our brains to live better and listen to dharma (Buddhist talks) regularly.
I am in love Eastern psychology (shocking as a yoga teacher, I know!) and I infuse a lot of it into my coaching and teaching.
I believe that in our quest to have it all, we have mistakenly believed that we need to DO it all, which (as you know) is impossible. It has taken its toll on us, we are: exhausted, anxious, and it has been chipping away at our self confidence.
We need to stop doing more, and start doing it better. It starts with overcoming our fears to become confident women we most want to be.
Not even a little bit.
I know first hand how hard it is, and so do millions of women out there. I want you to know that this is fixable, and that we can do this together.
I knew things were bad for me, but I didn’t realize how bad things were until I climbed out of the anxiety fog and really started to feel good again.
When I overcame overwhelm and anxiety, it felt like life opened its doors wide open for me. I finally felt free, I had time again, I didn’t feel rushed or panicked anymore.
I felt strong, capable, and confident. I was clear my purpose and how I was going to get there, and there was no more conflict within me. Things started to flow, and I felt better than I can ever remember.
I used the powerful tools I now teach to women like you, and they continue to keep me focused and on the other side of fear.
And who am I anyways? I am an Aries, and straight up fire sign. I love going on long walks with my wonderful husband, sweet son, and rowdy chocolate lab Walter. I’m the only vegetarian in my home. I love yoga, sunshine, and running along the lake (but never in the snow. Ugh). Oh, and I LOVE binge watching Chelsea Handler!
